Louis came to check out our rubbish decking and dilapidated shed, both in a very sad state. The decking was creaky and, when wet very slippery (I sometimes looked like Bambi on ice just trying to get to my car) and the shed did an excellent job at keeping everything wet! I was concerned because of drainage (there wasn’t a clear route for the water to take). Louis took my concerns seriously and came up with an ingenious plan to help keep the new decking free from standing
water. With the price agreed and only a few biscuits needed to fuel the job we were underway. What I really liked about Louis is that he would keep me informed every step of the way, even pausing long enough to show me that the uprights weren’t rotten and so could be protected properly and recycled into the job (Louis’ care for the environment and resources impressed me hugely). He even showed me the hidden steps under the old decking before it was replaced with the new. The job took two weekends with Louis working so hard every time he was here. Every and
any question was answered gladly. Since the installation I have received comments such as “Best Decking in the City” (from a very grateful delivery driver who remembers what a great ice-skating rink my previous decking made when wet) and that’s down to Louis’s hard work, ability to problem-solve and fantastic carpentry skills!
